Brian Cushing is a no nonsense 5* LB from New Jersey. He is one of the best players in the country and his position and probably the best player in the Northeast. He is a fully qualified student with a GPA of 3.4 and scored on a 1010 on the SAT.

On the recruiting side of things. Brian had Notre Dame as his leader until Head Coach Ty Willingham was fired. Brian now lists USC, Florida, Louisville and Miami as the teams he is considering. USC is his leader and they appear to be heads and shoulders above everyone else. Florida came into the picture after Urban Meyer went to work on him. Brian is very impressed with the new Florida Head Coach saying, "He's a great guy. He flew to visit me in person and I was really impressed with him. He's a winner. Everywhere he goes he wins. He told me that Florida needs linebackers." Hopefully the need of LBs? at Florida can help reel this LB prospect into Gainesville.

UPDATE:

Cushing will be in on a mid-week trip with Family. Anytime a recruit brings in the family, it is a positive. He will be on campus on 1/24. USC still leads.

Expect Cushing to cancel Virginia visit and pencil in a trip to Boston College.
