DeSean? Jackson is a blazing WR prospect from California. He is another D-I prospect from high school powerhouse Long Beach Poly. He is currently the #7 WR prospect in the country according to Scout.com and is the #3 WR prospect on Rivals.com. He has the talent to play both sides of the ball, as he shut down oppossing wideouts and in the California State Playoffs. Jackson projects as a full qualifier with an impressive 1280 SAT score and a 3.0 GPA.

On the recruiting side, he lists in-state favorites. Cal and USC are currently sitting at the top of his lsit, but he is still considering Oklahoma, Florida, and LSU. With the shake up at LSU, it appears less likely he will be a Tiger. Good friend and current Gator committ Josh Portis is working on DeSean? to visit to Gainesville and he has a tentative date scheduled for the 1-21 weekend. DeSean? has only been on the Gator radar for a couple of weeks, but Coach Urban Meyer and Josh Portis are making strong impressions on him. It is going to take quite a bit to get this top prospect off of the west coast.

Advantages:

• Loves Meyer and is good friends with Portis
• Likes the "style" of play at UF
• Distance is not a factor, as seen by his top 5 (USC,Cal, UF, OU, and LSU)

• West coast players are tough to pull out of California
